Training to Teach at Brighton Hill Community School

Thank you for your interest in applying for a post at Brighton Hill Community School.  We hope that the information included in this pack will enable you to make a decision as to whether to apply for a position with us either as a teacher or as a member of support staff.

Brighton Hill Community School is experiencing rapid, unprecedented growth which has seen the school swell from 502 students in January 2017 to 830 in 2019.  Our PAN is 255, which will see the school number climb to 1275 when we are full.  As a result of this, we are recruiting top quality staff who are willing to join our vision to become the beacon school of the local area and beyond.

Our school vision is “Building an environment where success is inevitable”, with a team of staff committed to the cause, focused on relentless professional development, ensuring the very best outcomes for our students.  Our students are rightly proud of their school, where they feel happy, safe and empowered to take the next steps in their personal learning journeys.

We value the wellbeing of our staff, which is why we have an incredibly high staff retention rate.  Indeed, largely our only vacancies arise due to our ongoing expansion.  Staff members here at Brighton Hill Community School enjoy benefits such as a low volume of marking, reduced data-drop expectations, paid dependency days to support dependents in need, a staff wellbeing room and a staff wellbeing action group, amongst other things.

If you’re still interested in joining us, please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or to arrange a visit.  We look forward to hearing from you and to receiving your application.
