Mathematics at Key Stage 3

Our Key Stage 3 programme incorporates Years 7 and 8.  We believe that students achieve their mathematical potential most effectively when they are in a learning environment with peers of a comparable ability.  We recognise that students develop at different rates and that groupings need to be flexible to accommodate this.  Students explore and develop basic numeracy as well as more advanced mathematical techniques around the themes of algebra, shape and space and handling data.  Students have the opportunity to experience learning both as part of a team and independently.  They focus on building a firm foundation of mathematical skills to equip them for Key Stage 4.
