Ed Cooke, Founder of Memrise, Visiting BHCS

Dear Parent/Carer

We have managed to secure an incredibly engaging visiting speaker for our Year 11 students for Monday 27th March.  Ed Cooke, founder of Memrise, is a Grand Master of Memory, having once come 7th in the World Memory Championships.  Due to the success of Memrise, Ed doesn’t do school talks anymore, but has decided to make Brighton Hill Community School his one visit of the year.

Our school is very fortunate to secure Ed’s services and despite the fact that his session starts at 3.15pm, I would expect all Year 11 students to take the opportunity to come and learn from such a master of his field.

Ed will be sharing powerful tips on the best way to revise and commit key facts to memory.  Having seen him speak before, we can promise our students that they will find him entertaining, but at the same time find themselves learning a range of vital memory techniques which will give them a great boost in the lead up to their exams.

All students that attend the session will receive 50 stamps toward their prom target of 1200.  Please fill in the confirmation slip below, confirming that your child will be attending this session from 3.15-4.30 on Monday 27th March.
Yours faithfully
