Year 11 Summer Opportunity

Dear parent/carer

Hopefully you are aware that after GCSE exams this summer, your child has the opportunity to participate in the National Citizen Service (NCS).

We are very aware that many parents might not know what NCS is, have some misconceptions or are having trouble convincing your child to sign-up. As a result, the Hampshire NCS team are putting on a live web session where they will give you everything you need to know and answer any questions you may have.

The dates for these online sessions are:

All you need to do is register your name and then log in on the day at 6pm. You will be able to submit questions live, or as you register for the event.

We are very supportive of the NCS programme. We have seen it give so many students the confidence boost and drive that it is so important to nurture at this critical age.

Please register for the web event if you:

- are unsure of what NCS is and why it is such a great opportunity
- would like to know more about the NCS team taking the young people on residential
- want to know details about what happens on the programme
- are struggling to convince your child to sign-up and would like some support

If you are unable to attend one of the sessions then find out more about the programme and how to sign-up by visiting – www.pb-education.co.uk/ncs

Kind regards
The Year 11 team
