Dear Parent / Carer

13 November 2017

As the Autumn term draws to a close I would like to take the opportunity to inform you of some key information regarding the remainder of this term.

Inset Day – Friday 1 December 2017
School will be closed on this day and no students will be required to attend.

Arrangements for the last day of term / first day of the spring term
The last day of term is Thursday 21st December 2017 and students will be dismissed at 12.30pm, following afternoon registration.  However, those students who are in receipt of free school meals will be able to have their lunch at the normal time between 12.30pm and 12.50pm in the school dining room.

Please can we ask as usual for you to remind your child to take all belongings with them from their tutor base and lockers over the Christmas break as the school will be closed for the majority of the holidays.

The spring terms begins for all students on Thursday 4 January 2018. All students are expected to arrive promptly for the start of the school day with tutor time commencing as usual at 8.25am.

It was only this time last year that I was writing to you as the incoming Headteacher.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the extraordinary support you have given me since I joined the school.  It continues to help us to achieve incredible things as a school, as we strive to be the best in the area and beyond.

I wish you and your families a very Happy Christmas when it arrives.

Yours sincerely

Mr C Edwards
Headteacher
