Information & Letter & News

Dear Parents/Carers,

As part of our continued commitment to the safety of our students, I am writing to inform in the near future we will be running a drill for our lockdown procedure.  Due to the nature of the drill, we wanted to inform parents/carers and students that this would be happening in order to minimise anxiety when the drill takes place.

A lockdown occurs when circumstances dictate that the safety of students and staff is better ensured inside current buildings – rather than evacuation - with doors and windows locked and blinds/curtains drawn.

Reasons for a real lockdown might include the following:

All could pose an imminent threat to the safety of staff and students and, therefore, we want to ensure that we are fully prepared should any of these events take place.

If you require any further information, please feel free to contact the school.

Yours sincerely

Mr. C. Edwards
