BHCS- Regional Ambassador for SFET and ECT Delivery Partner
We are delighted to have been appointed as a Regional Ambassador School for the SFET Teaching School Hub; Success For Every Teacher. The government’s new ‘golden thread of teacher development’ is at the heart of the most exciting reforms to teacher education, training and development in a generation, and we are proud to be supporting the roll-out of these changes across our region.
SFET Teaching School Hub will act as a central point for high-quality continual professional development, delivering to the full range of the teaching workforce in all schools; primary, secondary, special, alternative provision and early years. Engagement with up-to-date research and the impact of reading and training upon practice is a vital aspect of learning to teach and underpins the Hub’s delivery offer.
SFET support everything from initial teacher education, the roll-out of the Early Career Framework (ECF) and acting as an Appropriate Body for ECTs across Hampshire and Surrey, to delivering reformed NPQs.
The hub area includes Guildford, Rushmoor, Waverley, Hart, East Hampshire and Basingstoke and Deane and alongside us as an ambassador school, we aim to share the excellence and expertise to deliver a high-quality school-led offer that benefits all teachers, support staff and school leaders.

ECF Delivery Partner
We were successfully appointed as a regional delivery partner for the ECF programme in September 2021.
The Early Career Framework (ECF) is the new statutory induction programme for all new teachers entering teaching. The programme runs for two years and seeks to develop, support and empower teachers to delivery high quality teaching and provision for all students.
As an accomplished school and an appointed delivery partner, we are responsible for the statutory delivery of ECT seminars for the local area as well as the development programme for ECT Mentors. We aim to create a stimulating, collaborative, and supportive environment, where ECT’s and their mentors can develop and thrive.
We work closely with South Farnham Teaching school and Teach First about the content of the programme and we have recently been externally quality assured as a highly effective delivery partner regarding our approach and provision.
We have an experienced and expert team delivering the programme-
SLT ECF lead and Teaching school Link- Miss J Halsey
ECF lead and Induction Tutor- Miss S Lambert
If you are interested in our work and keen to find out how we can support you and your ECT staff, please do email me directly and I will be happy to assist.
