The Tutor Programme

We have carefully devised our tutor programme for each year group to meet their age appropriate needs and complement their subject learning journeys through further delivery of literacy, numeracy and employability skills, weaving in Values strands throughout the programme.Typically, morning tutor sessions are dedicated to pastoral support and the delivery of literacy and numeracy sessions.

Every afternoon, (12.20-12.50pm for Key Stage 3 and 12.50-1.20pm for Key Stage 4), students have Values lessons with their tutor groups, delivered by their tutor and planned by specialists. Within these lessons, our My World curriculum is delivered, which incorporates key elements of our Values strands such as keeping healthy and safe, understanding democracy and law in the UK and globally, understanding the many ways that we can promote respect and tolerance, developing aspirations for the future and increasing financial awareness.
